WITH THE LARKS
We offer a yearly program of masterclasses aimed at professionals. We offer renowned international teachers who teach a range of skills, from tightrope walking to dance trapeze.
School of Larks have cultivated a vibrant and powerful network of national and international partnerships with professional contemporary circus and arts companies and individual artists.

“In this class for Circus artists, Dancers, Acrobats, and keen movers, we will explore an eclectic vocabulary of acrobatic movements, playful handstand variations, and twisting drills.
Specific focuses will be on low-level tricks, suitable for hard floor, that favour precise coordination over strength. We’ll look at direction changes, weight transfer, body shape and counterweighting, as well as conditioning and alignment for acrobatics.
All of this wrapped up a high energy workshop with loud music, that will hopefully leave you with a smile on your face and some new movements and knowledge to do with as you wish!”
This workshop is open to all levels, but prior experience with another similar movement discipline, or floor acrobatics, will allow participants to get the most out of the class.
✅ Pre-Requisites:
Forward roll, cartwheel, kick up to handstand, 3 second handstand hold.
👍 ‘Useful to have’:
3+ second handstand hold, handstand forward roll.
Nat Whittingham @natwhittingham is a Bristol based acrobat and teacher, and co-founder of @movingthroughacrobatics and @sneakyandraptor with Gabbie Cook @gabbie_ck . He has extensive training in acrobatic arts, including gymnastics, teeterboard, acro dance, and more.
